One-on-one tuition is held at the Thomsong Music Studio in Melville, WA. Lessons can also be conducted at your home (Perth Metro). Lesson plans are structured based on the participants ability level and what they want to achieve. We suggest the 'going solo' lessons start from age 6 for those wanting to hone their skills to create music.
At Thomsong Music Australia we encourage our particpants to enjoy the structue of music, learning songs through chords, rhythm patterns and melodies. Particpants will learn music on a Yamaha CVP-407, a full-size, 88 key touch-sensative electric piano which enables songs to be recorded. Participants will learn how to read and write music and play with both hands using chord structures and melodies.
Participants will be able to choose their own songs to learn and will also use relevant level song books to guide them on their journey to becoming true solo artists.
Our solo artists will enjoy learning how to play tunes and performing for others.
Lessons are usually structured for 30 minutes. We also offer 45 minute lessons for those wanting to learn how to sing the songs they are playing. We will teach the
art of timing, melody and arranging harmonies to make a song your own.
